Dubai Science Park showcases professional opportunities at its fourth annual Career Fair
• Nearly 50 employment and internship opportunities on offer
• More than 300 university students explore industry opportunities in the science sector
• Leading organisations including Olympus, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Pharmax take part
• DSP supports business partners in identifying talent in the UAE
Dubai-UAE: xx April, 2017 – Dubai Science Park (DSP), a member of TECOM Group and a business community that serves the entire value chain of the science sector, yesterday hosted its fourth annual career fair for university students and professionals within the life sciences, energy and environment sectors. 16 industry-leading companies including Olympus, Pharmax, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Dubaiomics, Phoenix Contact, Eurofragance, Sanofi Genzyme and Energetics took part to showcase their businesses along with job and internship vacancies for aspiring graduates and university students alike.
The one day event took place at the Science Park’s Laboratory Complex and featured a wide range of exhibitors. As part of the fair, Momentum Coaching and Consulting hosted a workshop which covered a variety of topics including proactive job searching, networking for career opportunities, as well as CV writing and interview preparation tips.
Additionally, Phoenix Contact, a German leader in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and automation, announced accepting applications to its Xplore New Automation Award 2018, a competition for innovative automation ideas, until 31st May 2017. Jamila Nasim Khan, a graduate from Dubai’s University of Modern Sciences and Clinical Sales Specialist at Amerispec Diagnostics, joined the company following her application through DSP’s Career Fair in 2015. Ms. Khan said: “I have attended DSP’s Career Fair in 2015 which was a great platform for me to meet with employers and identify the ones that match my aspirations. Amerispec Diagnostics offered the right balance of marketing and laboratory experiences and I am delighted to be part of their team today. Being present in this year’s DSP Career Fair as an employer is testament to the value this event presents to university students and I encourage those interested in this field to attend and network.
